How To Use These

Getting the most out of past papers

Solving papers is only half the work β€” how you review them is what actually moves your score.

01

Time yourself, always

Sit each paper in one go under real exam timing. Solving untimed builds false confidence β€” pacing is a skill you have to train separately from content.

02

Analyse every mistake

Split wrong answers into three buckets: concept gap, silly error, or ran out of time. Each one needs a different fix β€” and only the first means more revision.

03

Track repeat topics

Work through several years and the high-weightage chapters become obvious. Keep a simple tally β€” it tells you exactly where your last revision hours should go.

FAQs

Questions students ask

About these papers and how to use them in your preparation.

What is the IISER Aptitude Test?+
The IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) is the entrance exam for admission to the BS-MS dual degree programme at the IISERs. It covers Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics at Class 11–12 level.
Are these mock papers free?+
Yes β€” all mock papers listed here are free to open and practise, with no sign-up required.
How should I use a full-length mock paper?+
Sit it in one uninterrupted session under real exam timing, then spend at least as long reviewing it as you did writing it. The review is where the score improvement actually comes from.
Is IISER preparation different from NEET or JEE?+
There's heavy overlap in syllabus, but IAT tests all four subjects together and rewards broad conceptual reasoning rather than the narrow speed focus of NEET or the depth focus of JEE Advanced. Students preparing for NEET or JEE can usually add IAT with focused extra practice.
Do you coach students for IISER?+
Our Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Maths faculty cover the underlying syllabus in our JEE and NEET programmes, which forms the base for IAT. Talk to our counsellor about the right batch for an IISER target.
