The NEET Exam Pattern for 2024 pertains to the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, which is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). This nationwide examination serves as a pathway for aspiring medical students to secure admission in prestigious medical colleges across India. In addition to MBBS, it also facilitates admissions in AYUSH, veterinary, and nursing courses. Candidates interested in AYUSH, BDS, or Nursing programs are also required to appear for this exam.
The NEET Exam Pattern is made available by the NTA through the official information bulletin on their website. Based on previous years’ patterns, the exam consists of 200 questions, with an internal choice provided in section B of each subject. Out of the total questions, students are required to attempt 180. Additionally, students are given the flexibility to choose and attempt 45 questions out of the 50 asked in each subject, including Zoology, Botany, Chemistry, and Physics.

The marking scheme for NEET 2024 is as follows.
In the NEET 2024 exam, each question is worth 4 marks. A correct answer can earn you a maximum of 4 marks, while an incorrect answer will result in a deduction of 1 mark due to negative marking. It is important to use only a blue/black ballpoint pen to mark your answers. Multiple markings for a single question will be considered incorrect and will incur negative marking.
